Why We Don’t Do Points
Why We Don’t Do Points
Loyalty is a word that gets used a lot in retail.
Often, it’s tied to points, vouchers and rewards — systems designed to encourage repeat spending by offering something back later.
At Cowshed Interiors, we’ve chosen a different approach.
Not because we don’t value loyalty — but because we believe it works best when it isn’t reduced to a transaction.
We Begin With the Product
Everything we do starts with sourcing.
We spend a great deal of time seeking out pieces that feel considered, well-made and enduring — whether that’s furniture, lighting or decorative detail.
Where possible, we buy directly.
We negotiate carefully.
And we price honestly from the outset.
Rather than inflating prices to accommodate future discounts or rewards, we focus on offering strong value the first time.
Why We Avoid Points and Vouchers
Points systems often rely on pricing structures that allow room for:
-
Artificial RRPs
-
Perpetual promotions
-
Discounts that feel expected rather than earned
That model doesn’t sit comfortably with us.
We prefer clarity over complexity — and trust over tactics.
When we run an offer, it’s because we’ve secured a genuine saving, not because a system requires it.
Loyalty, Reconsidered
To us, loyalty isn’t about how often you shop.
It’s about confidence.
Confidence that:
-
The price you see is fair
-
The piece has been chosen carefully
-
You’re not being nudged to wait, hesitate or second-guess
That kind of loyalty builds quietly, over time.
For Those Who Want a Closer Connection
While we don’t run a points scheme, we do offer something else.
'Join The Herd' is our way of staying connected with customers who value thoughtful buying and calm communication.
Members receive:
-
Early access to new collections
-
Priority restock notifications
-
Considered updates from behind the scenes
No points to track.
No tiers to unlock.
Just a closer relationship with how we work.
A Longer View
We believe good design doesn’t need gimmicks.
And loyalty doesn’t need to be engineered.
When customers return to Cowshed Interiors, we hope it’s because they trust our eye, our pricing and our values — not because they’re waiting for a reward.
That feels like loyalty worth building.
