HANDMADE
Many of our products are either handmade or hand finished. Because of this, there may be the occasional imperfection as they are not manufactured by a machine.
We feel that these marks, features, points of interest etc will distinguish them from mass produced items and visualise them as the artisan produced products that they are.
If the imperfection is such that it renders the item unusable we will of course replace the item but when the area in question is very small or the aspect of concern is part and parcel of the natural makeup of the product, we would not consider it to be faulty.
Handmade items can have a size difference/tolerance of +/- 5%.
Such items maybe our handthrown lamp bases made from ceramic, cement or stone - pots, vases and ornaments made from similar materials or it could be twig hearts, wicker/willow hearts or kubu and rattan products. Blemishes can and do occur but we regard this as normal given the nature of the material the item is created from.
TABLE LAMPS
Many (not all) of ourtable lamps come with a bulb holder that sits in a 'ball joint'. This means that when you're lamp arrives you may think it is broken! It is not it simply needs adjusting and the purpose of this feature is to make sure you can have your lampshade sit perfectly level.
